Among the holidays celebrated throughout the year, there are those that are celebratory while others remind us of the sacrifices made so that America can be a free country. One of our New Jersey properties, Glenwood Apartments, had a special celebration last week honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and also recognizing those who have served and are still with us. Our property manager, Natasha, shared details of the event:

For us, Memorial Day was not only a time for remembering and honoring our fallen soldiers, but a time to thank those who are among us today! Glenwood Apartments celebrated veterans on Memorial Day by having a Veteran’s Luncheon complete with a patriotic theme. They gathered for hot sandwiches and coffee, fruit, dessert and more. The luncheon was an opportunity to honor the veterans of Glenwood Apartments for their willingness to serve in the military and protect our country and freedoms.

All veterans who reside at Glenwood Apartments were invited. Many showed up with their photos and stories of life at war. It was a joyous, yet somber occasion as we honored the living and remembered the deceased. These men and women are among the bravest in our nation and we are grateful to them for their dedication and the sacrifices they have made for our country.
